Brown Red Weed Field
Taken during a trek in summer 2010 in the lovely surroundings of the village of Tence, located in Haute-Loire, Auvergne, France.
A picture taken early morning, deep in a very humid part of a forest.
For today, a little bit of a funny picture. Was walking along a tiny lake that’s close to my place, with my family, when I came across this group of water striders. It was as if they were practicing for a dance ballet. Or maybe they were setting up for a air show ? Who knows ? But I like the resulting picture a lot.
Blue Butterfly in Wheat Field
Probably a Provençal Short-tailed Blue, absorbing the last rays of light of a french afternoon, somewhere in Aveyron, Midi-Pyrénées, France.
Late Afternoon Flowerbath
One late summer afternoon, a lonesome butterfly is taking a rest on yellow flowers
A pretty common butterfly of the French countryside, but really effective, color-wise, on a lavender field !
Zygene on purple
As far as I know, zygenes are moths, not butterflies. Still, they are pretty nice to photograph…
Been cloudy for a week. At the end of the trek, two beams of light made their way down to earth…
A dandelion, the perfect example of simple yet beautiful.
This shot of the Lake Leman was taken from Port de Sciez, located on the French side of the lake.
I’ve (self) published my first book ! 60 pages of small creatures in their natural world, both in color and in black and white.
Cover image : Stairway to Heaven – Will this little ladybird reach the sky ?
Yellow Orange Fly
White, yellow, green, seems both the fly and myself do love those colors !
